Roles and responsibilities
The areas of responsibility include:
- Assisting in the implementation of business development strategies.
- Supporting forensics, risk and compliance engagements by undertaking the following tasks under the guidance of colleagues:
- Conducting due diligence research on targets of interest;
- Collecting information relevant to allegations of unethical conduct;Compiling and reviewing relevant documentation;
- Undertaking data analysis to identify useful information;
- Transcribing notes of meetings and interviews; and
- Drafting findings, reports and other deliverables.
- Assisting in the implementation of any other initiatives undertaken by the department.
This role has an increasing focus on providing value to our clients through proactive risk solutions. The intern will collaborate closely with colleagues in other practices across the Firm to provide solutions to clients.
Experience and personal qualities
- Possession of a bachelor’s degree in a financial field (Commerce/ Business administration/ Economics/ Finance), a scientific field (Engineering/ Architecture etc) or a technology field (Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology) or other relevant field. A Diploma in a related field will be considered if combined with significant years of experience in a fast-paced investigations or internal audit role/ environment.
- An interest and experience in technology such as cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence.
- At least one (1) year of experience at a fast-paced organisation.
- Ability to work accurately with minimal supervision, manage multiple and shifting priorities, and consistently meet deadlines.
- Ability to use good judgement to analyse and problem solve to maintain and improve operational accuracy and efficiency.
- Good project management skills.
- Proficient in the use of IT Systems including Microsoft Office packages. Knowledge of forensic technology tools will be a value-add.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate clearly with a range of people from diverse backgrounds.
